Preacher, you are the one spreading misinformation. The former manager and her staff were fired by the owners without any notice, ZERO notice. Since then, the owners have been spreading lies about the former staff. Further, it appears that the owners hijacked the manager's myspace page and deleted it and took phone numbers off some of the staff's personal phones.
Lady Z's/ Kolours or whatever name they want to hide behind is not the place to go... Steelyard Tavern on Broadview, Muggs, or the Nickel are much better choices. They do not pretend to like the LGBT community to take their money, like the owners of this place are now doing.
This place has shown me that they are not a friend of the lgbt community. I know first hand that they are transphobic. I also do not like how the owners let the staff go several weeks ago.
Oh, and that Rainbow flag over by the pool table belongs to the former manager, she bought it, not the owners.

ok, the skinny on Lady Z's is as follows:
apprently one of the dj's has a hassle going with them (im assuming "FORMER" dj) and has been the one spreading the word, even via internet sites, that the place closed to gays.
IT IS NOT SO...i talked to the mgr or owner about it, and he says the only thing that has changed is the name of the place, as it is now named Colours....
they are having bands, dances, etc., and he especially wants to plug the halloween party the 31st. I am planning on going, come hell or high water.
anyway, i assured him i would tell as many women as i could so as to thwart the mis-information...rotten thing for someone to do, to effect other peoples livlihoods....so anyway, tonight i am a very happy camper. please please please help spread the word....

It caters to women, which is nice. We went on one of the dance nights this summer and had a ton of fun requesting old music from the DJ and dancing. If you're looking for the young and hip club scene though, don't expect to find that there. As a group of lesbians in our 20's - 30's, we were young compared to the rest of the crowd. Maybe that will change as more women discover it.

What a fun womens bar that is friendly to all. There is a DJ every weekend and they have food! The place is huge with tons of parking. This bar used to be Zelezniks and was close to closing when the owners decided to welcome the gay comunity.
So, what do you say?
