'Adventurous'? Depends on your definition
2 stars is more than generous but its improved a little bit so deserve the extra star. I cant believe that any guys would be in love with this dumpster of a bar. Officially its three bars in one. Not true. Its the same bar with different area. Basement is closed but thats good as it was filled with insects and the bathroom was used for hookups (guess the cops didnt like that). The worst bitchy bartender is long gone. Good. The bartender with the shaved head shows no interest in his customers and acts like hes doing a favor by serving you (and hes not even good looking). The old guy in the small bar area is nicer but the space is small and guys who want to be left alone sit in that spot. The big bar has a jukebox and pool table. The small bar has a pool table too but its cramped and crowded so hard to play. The outside area is often busier than the inside bars. Music is almost always RandB or disco so if you dont like listening to nonstop black music you will be irritated very fast. The guys are unique to say the least The bar's description says 'adventurous' and that may be a good word. Short hairy queens, fag hags, hustlers, bi curious (I guess), black queens trying real hard to be lil thugs, old white men with a taste for the dark meat, and sometimes a few twinks who look lost on the way to Twist.
fav bar in Cleveland
Exploring the multiple rooms is a fun feature of A Man's World. Definitely an older crowd; everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The back patio is awesome. Can visit the fun Dean Rufus store through the patio and is open late. Be careful, the neighborhood is scary.
Years ago was a good bar
I used to be a regular customer here for 7 years and it was good then but in the past 5 years has gone down hill fast. The owner doesn't care about customers and likes the trailer trash ,hustlers ect. He raises prices on special events like C.L.A.W. and Pride a beer at those times will cost you an extra 1.50 not worth it. I really don't go here hardly anymore as it is usually dead or 10 people in the bar not packed like it used to be. They were busted for a liquor violation last yr. The building is still for sale. Bar tenders are good specially Tommy and Dean. the free food has now just become hot dogs and macaroni salad on weekends. I was there a month ago after work at 12 am and got harassed by the bouncer/security guy (I had my security uniform on as I was comming from work I looked at him and laughed total dickhead loser) I drank a three dollar beer and left as it was dead on a Friday night. I haven't been back since and won't be going back. Way too many drugs in the place patio smells like weed all the time and people havve sex in the bathroom ect. and do coke.
The LGBT community center used to be on this block. A jazz club was across the street. Bounce was hopping. Now the spot is in a hole. More hustlers and muggers than guys out for fun.
