Since 2003, ArtCares has grown to be the signature event benefiting the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland and is our biggest fundraising event. Thanks to the generosity of folks like you, in 2012 we were able to have a record-breaking year with over 800 attendees and $135,000 raised!
ArtCares 2013 will be no different β in fact it promises to be the biggest and best yet. We look forward to another fantastic year! The 11th Anniversary of the event will take place at the Cleveland Museum of Art in the Ames Family Atrium on Saturday, April 20, 2013. A few other items of note about this yearβs ArtCares:
- Our 2013 ArtCares co-chairs are Joe Cimperman, John Corlett, Helen Forbes-Fields and Beth Zone.
- Our 2013 ArtCares Icon honoree will be the Cleveland Institute of Art, one of the original partners of ArtCares and along time supporter of the HIV/AIDS & LGBT communities.
- An invitation-only special exhibition curated by Kristin Rogers, featuring a creative and unique way of presenting art.
- A competition for students of the Cleveland Institute of Art, who will be awarded cash prizes to student artists chosen by a jury of Cleveland art leaders.
The event will feature auctions of art and other items, live entertainment by Darrick Grant (WCSB Eclectic Soul) and Charles McGaw (WRUW On the One), and great food and drink. All proceeds raised go directly to supporting the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland and our mission to provide a compassionate and collaborative response to the needs of people infected, affected and at risk of HIV/AIDS.
