Not gay but it has live music and hot dogs :)
Yeah its not a full service restaurant. Its a bar that serves hot dogs with something like fifty different toppings and features bands and dj's. Its a fun spot in the expanding and gentrifying Gordon Square neighborhood. Not for the pretentious or super trendy folx.
Happy but not Gay
it's a hot dog joint. cool. is it gay- no. is it a gay bar- no. once again- Gay cities sux.
LOL it's a hot dog parlor not a gay club, people!
this is NOT a gay bar. it's a hipster hot dog palace in the rundown area near Gordon Square. Gimme a break.
Simply the Best Damn Bar in Cleveland
In a town languishing in social Purgatory, The Happy Dog at West 58th and Detroit stands out like a much-needed Messiah. Slick, hip and with an edgy, cosmo scene one catches only in Soho or Chelsea -- this the "It" place. This is not for the vapid Flirtini locals of West 6th -- ditch the pretense and show up loaded with plenty of denim and depth. The street level pub has an extensive drink list and its quirky signature 50 flavors of hot dog toppings (don't ignore the award-winning Hamburgers) which has made the Dog famous nationwide. The underground croft, The Underdog, is the scene for ever-changing venues and alternating genres -- everything from indie to polka to classical is performed live here. The place is a favorite among the Uni music conservatory set and the ambience is refreshingly intellectual and urban chic. Parking is thankfully now ample next to the bar and in the nearby Gordon Square lots. The Happy Dog is the multicultural bar of the 21st century -- Gay and Str8 friends can socialize without sacrificing either their dollars or their dignity. If you're looking for a club you can be proud being seen in.....this is the place.
Not gay but full of long sausages
What's up with this site that half the bars on here are not gay? Cleveland is so quiet that str8t bars have to be in the gay section to make up for nonexistent nightlife?
