Never again

Parked my car in front of church. As I walked down the street a bag lady demanded money. In the bar there was no place to sit. Stood against the wall. Felt like I should have stayed at home. Tried to play a song on the video jukebox but people kept overriding my songs. Tried to order another drink, but the bartender was oblivious to me. Never again.

Goodby Cleveland

Moved to Columbus with my partner last month. I wish I knew about this site years ago. I felt like I had to leave a comment on the Hawk. I'm old enough to remember the Tomahawk. Today, young men, the Hawk is a shadow of its former self. Not fun and raunchy like back in the day. I feel sorry for men coming up now. Everything is either butch drag or queening out. Perhaps the owner will give his bar a good old fashioned scrub down and make the place presentable. The Hawk is not dive chic. Its just crap junk. Yes Im one of those old men who prefers the company of young men, but the Hawk is not so much about dads and sons as its about trolls and twinks. Im happy to leave the Hawk behind. Columbus is the place to be. Young Cleveland men should listen.

The Arm Pit of the North Coast

Two bars in Cleveland can be classified as gay institutions. The Hawk and the Stallion. That they are both named after animals says it all. The Hawk smells like a barn. So does the Stallion. Where the Stallion at least has hot men once in a while the Hawk hits full tilt on the gross-o-meter. Mostly groups of silverdaddies and polar bears with a few skinny twinks and some guys who don't know who they are. For example. Young white guys with beards and shaved heads cheering when a Lady Gaga song plays. The Hawk crowd fits in somewhere between butch and queen with alot of ugly thrown in. Not exactly manly and not exactly twinky. Just somewhere in the strange middle. I will never go back. You can't find sex here either. If you are cruising head to Man's World. The Hawk blows.

Sloppy Grampa

Old farts think that any young guy that drinks here is fair game for their groping or come ons. Don't go by yourself if you are under the age of thirty unless you want every skeezer in the room to put the moves on you. Watch out for this shriveled white troll who creeps up behind you and a fattie black guy who has the hots for young white guys. Don't use the bathroom unless you really really have to since it stanks like a bottom's ass.
