Does anyone go here anymore?

Been there different days of the week and always the same. Some promising moments during CLAW last year, but that was it. Even Sundays last summer were less impressive than other summers. What's happening? This used to be the legendary Stallion, shining star of Cleveland's gay bars. There are never more than 5 or 6 men in the bar whenever you go. You would think that being near Cleveland State they would try to attract a younger gay crown. In other cities after all leather bars put out the welcome mat for cubs and otters. At the Stallion though they barely get the bears, just old men, chubs, and silver daddies. Not that these groups should be unwelcome, but whatever happened to the regular daddy types? Cubs need bears after all. Come on already!

Weekday no mans land

Went here on a week day evening. Four men in the bar. Three had shaved heads and goatees- how original! Boring. Don't park too far down St Clair. It can be scary. I heard that the bar was sold but I'm not sure if this is true. Guys say that the Stallion only makes money in the summer. If thats true, then why does it stay open? Our bars need owners who want to put some time and money into their businesses. We deserve better for a city this size.

Sundays only

By the local talk and hype (I'm new around here), the "Stallion" sounded like some sort of leather fantasy. I was very disappointed. Sunday is good for eye candy, but unless you are big with pecs of steel, don't expect to get laid. The "leathermen" are probably only leather in name, not in practice, at least by Sunday's standards. Maybe when the leather clubs have a bar night the crowd is more butch, but on Sunday, despite the good looking men, none appeared like a 100% top. In other words, most of the guys looked like physically built bottoms, maybe versatile at best, all standing and posing or chatting with friends. The sex factor was pretty low- not like at other leather clubs I've been to. Too bad, cause Cleveland seems to be really in need of a good leather club.

Pose, stand, and model

Summer Sunday evenings are legendary, but legend is not usually fact. These men may like leather, but they talk and look more like big-built older queens and grown-up former twinks then real hard-core leather men. In other words, they may be leather, as in every man is a bottom. No real leather daddies under the age of 60-ish. Twinks come for the thrill, so you get the picture? Leather is practically dead in Cleveland. Only New York or Chicago have much fun for unattached leather men. Cleveland leather is little more than butch drag on otherwise twinky men. Columbus Eagle in Exile is better than the Stallion.

Falling on hard times

Cleveland's bars are not what they once were, according to those in the know. The Leather Stallion must be the model. Every buff guy and bear practically wets his pants over the Stallion. Too bad it doesn't match the publicity.
