Chris Baumgartner is HOT

Chris Baumgartner is hot. He was also gay bartender of the year in Scene Magazine. He is the only real reason to go this bar. Reasons: guys are old and ugly or else they are ditsy little twinkies. Music sucks donkey ass. Neighborhood is not always the safest place at night. Small with not enough seating. Either too hot or too cold inside. Dirty. On a hot summer night it smells like used tampons. Go on Thursday at 9 when Mr. Baumgartner is there. He looks like a straight alternative rock stud. After undressing him with your eyes, finish your drink and go somewhere else, like Twist. Don't stay in the area too late for your own safety.

Its like family- you love it and hate it

Coming out in Cleveland requires a visit to the Hawk. Being gay in Cleveland doesn't require you to go there on a regular basis. Thankfully! The dive is the mother of all dumps! It reeks. The bathroom is never clean. Guys sit at the bar and fart- no joke. Busiest days are thursday and friday mostly because Bartender Chris is working. Besides the chubbs, the major drawback is the heavy metal music. Yes its a gay bar but the white trash guys who go here love their metal. Some of my black freinds wont go here anymore because they feel unwelcome. People keep drawing swastikas on bathroom walls and one bartender i remember was talking about his skinhead fantasies. I think their trying to attract trash on purpose as a sort of white fetish bar. Who knows. Often the glasses are dirty. LIke I said, Mostly fat men- not the hot bears from porno mags but the kind of bears who havent had sex in decades.

Smells like turd

I swear last time I went to the Hawk it smelled like crap literally. Dont they clean this place or what? Only good thing about it is Mikey the bartender. He is one piece of moptop hotness! Except for him skip the bar. A guy got jumped and beaten after he left the bar last year. Its not worth the risk

Gray hairs and twinkies

Mostly old men and the twinks who love them. Not a cruising hotspot. An OK jukebox and a pool table and smoking patio. Across from a church and next door to a straight bar. Neighborhood is a little scary. Go with a friend.

Fawk at the Hawk

Guys this place is a great starter bar. The drink prices were ok and the bartender was attentive to my needs.
