Poor Service

Good atmosphere and nice front patio. Heard they are expanding on the roof. The only thing the BAR STAFF HERE SUCKS. You can be naked in headstand on the bar and still not get a drink. The staff is too busy talking to their friends and boyfriends and with each other behind the bar. Recently added a dance floor which plays decent music but not much people dancing.

Over-rated

Twist looks cool and NYC-style, at least on the exterior. Inside, bitches rule the joint. One bartender only had a nice attitude- they rest were borderline, one was flat out cold. The customers think they are ultra-cool shit or something. No one will talk to you. If you walk in alone, prepare to stay alone for the entire time. The prices they charge aren't justified. It's a place to show off your face, your clothes, or your friends. Not a place for conversation with real people. Skip it.

Expensive Drinks, Rude People

Although this is one of the nicer bars in Cleveland, one visit was enough for me. Expensive drinks-I spent twice as much here as any other bar for the same amount of drinks and the staff and clientele glare at you as if you have no right to be there

No fun here

The closest to the Big City you'll find in C Town. Attempts at stylish, trendoid sophistication, Cleveland style. A tad pretentious. A lot unfriendly. Not a very pleasant place to spend an evening. Good for a drink to get warmed up while planning your night out. The bartenders tend to be stand-offish. The customers are often aloof. However, I disagree that the bar is "racist." I've often seen non-white patrons here. Yeah, mostly thin guys here, but this place doesn't market itself as a bear bar- that would be the Hawk or Man's World. I give this bar 2 stars not because it's bad- only because it's not much fun and somewhat on the arrogant side, unless you are a pretty young thing.

The most uncomfortable bar in the city

OMG I went in to Twist and immediately I felt cold. People stared at me like I was from Mars. The fact is I'm black and heavy and I was treated like I didn't belong. Lots of guys in tight Kenneth Cole wear all staring and laughing. The owner/bartender was rude and even though he was busy he saw me wave several times and ignored me, until I went and got i his face and asked for my drink. Then he grunted at me and charged me 5.00 for a rum and coke (not top shelf) said never mind and left. I've been around long enough to know that I was not wanted.
