What do you do with a closed old restaurant. You put a pink triangle on it and call it a gay bar. Owners definitely did not spend a dime on this place. Just a dump full of fem Twinks

A gay nursery school for the Lady Gaga/Ke$ha set. LIke its so cool. Me and my bestest girlfriend shake our little booties all the time hoping that cute guyz will show up who smell like Axe body spray. Face glitter optional.

The blurb at the top says this is a "gay rock club" which is totally untrue. Going here is like time traveling back to the late 80s or early 90s when everything gay was supercheezy and fake glitzy and shiny. The cool rating is zero and the hotness factor of the guys is 10 if you like twinks in skinny jeans and face glitter. It usually looks closed so who knows if it is open at all anymore.
Police & Parking
Wow, lot's of people weighing in about Bottoms Up being so lame and not liking it. Reminds me of a Yogi Berra type comment; "nobody goes there, it's always too crowded." Been there a dozen times over 3 years...sometimes it's cold, pretenious and stand-offish and other times a decent night out with fun people. DUI tip: Park across the street into a side street which puts you in Cleveland. Northbound on W. 117th keeps you in Cleveland or cruise east though the grided streets and pick-up I-90 from West Blvd. I can't rate the Cleveland jails but the Lakewood ones are tolerable-LOL.
yes completely pointless
Bottoms Up has a clever gay name but not much more going for it. I suppose it would be a hit in a smaller city with few gay options but it is a waste of time for anyone who want more out of gay nightlife than played out dance songs, barely legal club kids, and wandering guys just looking for a hook up. And I agree the parking situation is terrible and Lakewood cops are notorious for pulling over drivers on weekends. A horrible location for a horrible bar.
