total shit hole
once upon a time a mans world was a decent place to grab a drink. that was long ago. minor fix up for claw weekend but most of the bar is still a borderline dump. nothing remotely leather about the bars. no reason to stay in business anymore.
Nasty!!
This place is for sale and hopefully someone will buy it and turn it back into a decent place it once was. They let anybody in. If you set your drink down for too long someone will take it. It's not worth your time. It can get a decent crowd in the Summer when the patio is open.
Over rated
Nice to see a positive attitude, but once again lets get real. Mans World is empty most of the time. No hot men. Why else would any one go if no ones hot? I can talk with my friends at home. Thats not why we go out. Neighborhood is true hood. Im black so I know what I'm sayin. Id rather go to Bounce than Mans World because its a total waste of your time and money. Prices are high for the look of the bar and the look of the men.
Dont understand
I am from out of town, I dont know why everyone is surprised in the condition of gay bars in Cleveland I was here for 3 weeks and visited all gay bars not one night did I see enough people out to fill up one bar except that tinny bopper bar I won't discuss. I like to say hi to strangers and strike up a conversation in mans world I did find that it was on a Saturday morniong of all days. That is the day I remebmer the most a nice bartender who was so friendly that i thought I could get used to this, there were a few people in the bar who actualy had a conversation. I stayed left for a while and came back. I will always visit a bar where people are people and are willing to say Hello, Its not hard Cleveland, Say Hello to all people you never know what will happen.
A "Man's" World?
I've never owned or managed a bar, but as a regular customer of a few, I think I know what works and what doesn't. Some bar owners just don't care, about their patrons, their service, whatever. Man's World must be owned by one of those guys. I put "man's" in quotes above because on the last few nights I went there, the place was full of women. No joke. Whether they were mixed straight girls and lesbians, I don't know, but a few trannies too. My question is why??? And ditto to the comments below about safety. Yes, Bounce is virtually across the street, but a couple of blocks makes a lot of difference in this neighborhood. They used to have a guy watching the door and the parked cars, but he was not around last time I was there. You can't always be sure if the guy at the bus stop is really waiting for the RTA or if is waiting to steal your ride. There really is not much reason to come here, unless you're looking for "white trash" hustlers. The place has seriously declined. When the downstairs was open, you had at least a reason to drop by. Not anymore.
